Apple rolls out iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1 with bug fixes for operating system vulnerabilities

Apple has released its latest update aimed at plugging potential security vulnerabilities. The minor iOS and iPadOS updates are for iPhone and iPad users.

The new update will likely fix bugs, a slight security concern related to HomeKit which is Apple’s smart home platform.

The latest update fixes issues that may delay messages from loading especially those that are sent using an iCloud link or the ones that may limit third-party apps such as CarPlay.

The latest iOS 15.2.1 and iPadOS 15.2.1 updates can also fix vulnerabilities related to the operating system.

Guide to install the update:

  • Go to Settings
  • Click on ‘General’
  • Select ‘Software Update’

The iOS and iPadOS 15.2 updates were recently released and include a number of updates and new features. The update introduced a slew of features for App Store, App Privacy Report, Apple ID, iCloud Mail, Location Emergency, Remainders, etc.

One of the most striking features of the iOS and iPadOS 15 was the Record App Activity feature in the privacy settings, allowing people to save a summary of the sensor, data, and Internet access by apps on their device.

“In iOS and iPadOS 15.2, this activity is presented in Settings in a new UI called App Privacy Report. This is a great opportunity to review the app’s sensor, data, and Internet usage,” the company said in a statement.
